Mubasher: Gold settled lower at Thursday’s settlement, recording its lowest level in five weeks.
Comex April gold lost $1.5, or 0.1%, to close at $1,286.1 per ounce.
By 6:55 pm GMT, the USD dollar index (DXY), which measures the US currency against a basket of six major currencies, grew 0.58% to 97.44.
